…the girl on fire behind the L I M I T E D E D I T I O N L E T T E R S. Or rather, the brain, heart and hand that designs the unique, extraordinary and simply snot-cool letters and therewith turning white walls into incredible storytellers itself.
I’m an artist from Germany based in The Netherlands (just in case you’re wondering about some strange sounding sentences here – sometimes it’s a bit Dutch Denglish #sorrynotsorry) with more than 10 years of experience in visual thinking, sketch noting, typography and business coaching that have accompanied me on my way to become a professional fine art lettering artist, typoholic and (online) entrepreneur. In addition I’m an author of several books including Handlettering Super Easy and Letters, Pens & Rock’N’Roll. In 2019 I reached the 2nd place (nope, please don’t ask me why I was not the f*cking winner! ;)) in the ‘Zadig et Voltaire’ design competition with more than 5.000 participants from all over the world.
Specialised on Fine Art Lettering my art work always includes hand drawn letters, inspiring phrases, strong statements and text fragments that deal with different topics. Each piece belongs to an own limited edition, that covers certain, often personal, themes. During the design development I process my thoughts and feelings and transfer my view of things and life in general from the inside out. Or rather from my body and soul to paper using my best buddies – the sophisticated, awesome letters – while singing out loud to punk rock music.

My view of life is simple: focus on the essentials, keep it simple, be yourself, spread kindness, follow your talent and create beautiful things from your heart, because the world definitely needs more beautiful things (and Louboutins maybe…!). Never forget to enjoy life and celebrate yourself for no big reason, oh yes and laugh every day (focus on the essentials!).
That’s all what I’m about when I deeply immerses myself into the world of letters, when I let my thoughts flow onto the paper, when I completely absorb in the creative process and when I let my fine art letterings arise. Simplicity – beauty – happiness! #aseasyasitcanbe
When I’m not busy with the stunning letters and with creating, I go for a walk with my dog on the beach, do stand-up paddling, go surfing, play beach volleyball and tennis, buy fresh flowers, enjoy good vegetarian food, discover new, uncommon types of tea or look for new inspiration on interior design blogs and magazines.
